Wonder Woman Coming to NBC
Lynda Carter portrayed the Amazing Amazon
in the 1970s TV show

David E. Kelley’s latest script was thought to be headed back development hell, but Robert Greenblatt, the new chairman of NBC, has decided to pick up Kelley’s Wonder Woman pilot. While the network had passed on the script the weekend before, the new regime, which came as part of Comcast’s acquisition of the network, was not yet in place. Greenblatt himself is well known for breathing new life into Showtime by introducing the award-winning shows Dexter and Weeds. According to Entertainment Weekly, “Kelley’s take incorporated the superhero’s signature lasso, cuffs, and plane in the script, and insiders said it was a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character.” With rumors that Charlie’s Angels director McG is in the running to direct the pilot, it looks like this could be quite the explosive pilot!
