UPDATE: Star Wars Stand-Alone Movies: Boba Fett & A Young Han Solo Anyone?

After Bob Inger’s comments concerning the release of stand-alone Star Wars movies, many wondered who they would feature as the Star Wars canon is larger than the laser array on the original Death Star.   Well, only a day after the official announcement of their existence, it has already been announced who they will feature!

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that according to their sources at Lucasfilm there will be a total of two films with one movie following the adventures of everybody’s favourite badass bounty hunter Boba Fett and the other a young Han Solo.  It’s rumoured that Fett’s exploits will be set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back (so prior to falling unceremoniously into the Pit of Carkoon in Return Of The Jedi) and a younger Han implies his story will precede the original Star Wars movie.

As Inger publicised just yesterday, Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg are on writing duties for these stand-alone additions.  Moreover EW’s sources claim that each will author a script separately, although who will tackle which movie and how it will be decided is anyone’s guess at this point.   So far no more cold, hard facts have been released and currently any other information is pure conjecture.

Let us know what you would like to see in the stand-alone Star Wars movies?  Do you fancy the Boba Fett movie, the film about Han, neither or both?
