Tom Hiddleston To Be The Lead In The Crow?

Written by Philip Suson

Sources say everyone’s favorite sly jokester Loki Tom Hiddleston has been rumored to be in early talks to star as Eric Draven in the reboot of The Crow.

For those that don’t remember, The Crow was originally a comic that was written by James O’Barr about a man who returns from the dead to get revenge on those that killed him and his fiance.  A film adaptation came in 1994 starring the late Brandon Lee, who tragically died during the shooting of the film.  It has since spawned three sequels.

A reboot of The Crow has been in talks for some years now, with James McAvoy (Wanted, X-Men:  First Class) rumored for the lead role a few months ago.  Hiddleston seems like a great choice for Draven, given the box-office success of The Avengers and subsequently Loki’s and Hiddleston’s nefound popularity.  Apparently, Hiddleston wants the role and had a talk with the producers about it, even going so far as to do his own makeup test with plans to accept the role depending on the full, official make-up test.

There hasn’t been much information about  either the anticipated release date or other cast members in the reboot, but the film is set be directed by F. Javier Guttierez and written by Cliff Dorfman.

Do you feel Tom Hiddleston is the right choice for the role of Eric Draven? Or would you rather see someone else in the role?
