Top 6 Creepiest Marvel Villains

Now we know there are no beauty pageant winners in the criminal underbelly of the Marvel Universe, but these six really do take creepy to the next level. At least one of these monsters are guaranteed to make your skin crawl, that little sensation that gives you a cold shiver down your spine, and let’s be honest, some of you may even hide behind your pillows at the very site of these creatures. Now that I have piqued your interest, let’s take a closer look at the gut wrenching six:

6. Sugar Man

Sugar Man

For those of you unfamiliar with the X-Men Comics, Sugar Man was in charge of the Seattle Core, a slave camp that helped power North America during the Age of Apocalypse storyline. Since we might see that very story in future X-Men films, Sugar Man might be creeping us out on the big screen soon enough! Looking like MODOK’s uglier big brother (if that was ever possible) with the ability to change his mass, he can either creep you out on a larger or miniature scale. Four arms and a tongue Venom would be proud of round out this grotesque villain!

5. Carnage

Carnage

A creature that needs no introduction, Carnage is easily the most recognisable entry on this list. A pain in Spider-Man’s side for many years, Carnage is the darker offspring of Venom. Not many beasts’ roar and presence can strike fear into the heart of even the bravest of heroes more  than Carnage’s. His appearance looks like he is dripping in blood and razor sharp teeth, which unfortunately means no one is finding this creature cute any time soon. Just imagine standing in a dark alley and this emerges from the shadows. Would you be able to move or become stricken with fear?

4. Scarecrow

Scarecrow

Not to be mistaken for the brainless Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz, this Scarecrow has had tie ins with Iron Man and has even battled Ghost Rider, but his main foe was good old stars and stripes Captain America. In his former life, Scarecrow went by the name of Ebenezer Laughton, a highly skilled contortionist. Turning his talents to crime, he became an accomplished burglar and professional thief. He mostly worked alone except for a flock of trained crows which served as carriers and killers. If his appearance is not creepy enough for you,  this double jointed monster can perform various acrobatic stunts. So try fighting a creature that can pick from any lock while doing back flips. I think we will leave this one to you, Cap.
