PRESS RELEASE: Thunder-Man Flies High For The Ambucopter

Young achiever flies high for the Ambucopter!

Xander Goodwin (5) created his own superhero called Thunder-Man in June 2015 as part of a school project. His hero soon took flight, and Xander decided that he wanted Thunder-Man to help charities. With over £1,000 raised and a Young Achiever Award under his belt, Xander has chosen the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance for his next charity for Thunder-Man to support. He wanted to “help the people who help poorly people get to [the] hospital,” and was enthralled with the Air Ambulance – what young boy doesn’t love helicopters?!

Enlisting the help of his artist friend Tu Phan, they designed a t-shirt together to sell and raise money for the Ambucopter, as it’s affectionately known. Faye Nam, the Community Fundraising lead for the charity says, “A fantastic idea!” Xander’s t-shirt campaign will run until mid-June, and you can buy one of the great t-shirts online at www.tboom.co.uk/ambucopter. Adults and children’s sizes are available with prices starting from £11. A percentage of all the sales will go directly to the charity, so why not help Xander and Thunder-Man support this local service; vital to saving lives.

You can follow Thunder-Man on Twitter @Thunder_Man, or on Facebook at ThunderManHero.
