PRESS RELEASE: Tales Of The Fractured Mind Now On Kickstarter

Tales of the Fractured Mind is now on Kickstarter!

Tales of the Fractured Mind is an anthology series in the style of Strange Tales, Tales to Astonish, Metal Hurlant and Savage Tales. Those anthologies all have a theme – whether it’s horror, adventure, sci-fi or something else, there’s always a theme or typical comic genre. Tales of the Fractured Mind‘s theme is a little different – all the stories written in the anthology concern mental health. While taking inspiration from those pulp anthologies, Tales of the Fractured Mind is more of a pulp art-house book. You’ll find that there are a lot of things in it, in style and substance, that deviate from a normal comic and that’s what we want. We’re inspired by European comics, art house movies and independent comics.

Tales of the Fractured Mind features five stories and over 40 pages of content in the book. These are stories about love, war, sci-fi, drama and horror, but these are also stories about dementia, post traumatic stress, bipolar disorder, body dysmorphic disorder and depression. It’s an anthology with a strong emotional core, intriguing stories, interesting characters and beautiful art from Rolands Kalnins that brings the entire thing together. The stories in Tales of the Fractured Mind will stay with you long after you’ve put the book down.
