The debate of the century has to go to MCU vs. DCEU, with fans arguing for decades about which set of heroes is the best. That debate is not going anywhere, by the looks of it. However, MCU keeps making big moves on the big screen. Their upcoming films The Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home are high on the list of most anticipated movies.
Recently, the MCU seems to have gained a high affinity towards TV series. It goes back to the success of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Loki, to mention a few. However, there is much more to wait for.
We take a look at some upcoming MCU series that we can’t wait for. Our list also contains honorable mentions that could not make a list. It was not an easy job.
Loki Season 2
Loki earned the title of the most hated and beloved villain in The Avengers. No doubt the producers thought of a spinoff series. A mere cameo on Infinity War does not do justice to the hysterical Son of Asgard.
The first series of Loki took the Marvel Universe by storm. The high demand for a second installment forced producers to hit the studios again. However, the Loki season 2 will hit Disney+ in 2023. We will finally get peace after the cliffhanger in the first series.
I Am Groot
Even though Chris Pratt is the main star in Guardians of the Galaxy, we cannot deny that Groot holds a special place in our hearts. We last got to see Groot come back in the Avengers: Endgame.
However, we get to see a whole new side of Groot — voiced by Vin Diesel — soon. There is no set release date for the series, but it remains in production. Will Rocket join the whole band? We will have to wait and see.
Ironheart
We all shed a tear in the Avengers: Endgame when Tony Stark sacrificed his life for the greater good. However, a void was left behind with no one to fill the shoes. Even though Spider-Man is the perfect candidate, we need a new hero in town. Maybe someone in a super-suit? And no, we are not saying it’s James Rhodes.
This time, we get a new, young, and exciting superhero to takeover the Iron Man suit. It is young Riri Williams set to step in big time. There is no release date for the series. However, recent leaks reveal it will be a six-episode series.
We cannot wait until we see new heroes step up from the ashes while others have big boots. All we can do in the meantime is chill and wait for MCU to do their magic.
