PodCapers Ep. 28: Female Representation in Comic Books with Chelsi Slotten

Given the minimal amount of female superheroes on the big screen, Scott is joined by Chelsi Slotten – a PHD student who has written numerous papers on female representation in comics – to go to the source and discuss what exactly is wrong with female superheroes in comic books. They look at some of the worst tropes, stereotypes, and behind the scenes mishaps that have held female superheroes back.

At least we’ve got Wynonna Earp, I guess.
