Mark Ruffalo Confirms No Hulk Until Avengers 2

As is usual with Marvel projects, rumours have been flying thick and fast about the possibility of a standalone Hulk movie. Mark Ruffalo, however, has commented via his Twitter account that there are no plans in motion for such a film. The actor stated that “A lot of folks have been asking about the next Hulk. The next time you see my Hulk it will be in the Avengers 2. No plans for stand alone.”

He speedily followed this up with a second tweet which stated: “I am not giving up on another stand alone Hulk. But it’s not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring.”

Ruffalo, whose Twitter feed abounds with the niceness the actor is known for, received widespread critical acclaim for his portrayal of Bruce Banner in last year’s The Avengers. The follow-up movie is slated to be released on May 1st 2015. Details of the film remain shrouded in secrecy.

It has, however, previously been confirmed that Ruffalo has signed a six-movie deal to play the green-skinned hero so, solo movie or no solo movie, there should be plenty of Hulk-smashing to watch in the next few years!

What would you like to see in a solo Hulk outing?
