Hugh Jackman’s Best Wolverine Moments Part 1: Top 5 Badass Moments

3. “Put the knives down!” “I can’t”, X2

Bobby Drake was always an enjoyable X-Man and I gravitated to him because he was goofy and from Massachusetts like me. However, they took most of that out in the movie and luckily Logan knows how to pull the comedic weight. I know this is not supposed to be a funny scene but just Logan’s matter of fact look to the officer who shot him after getting up seals the entire endeavor. Plus Pyro completely torches the place which was a great visual in a film full of fun set pieces.

Wolverine bears the distinction of being, perhaps, the biggest bad-ass in the whole Marvel universe. Other superheroes may have cooler powers – Magneto could pick him apart like a rotisserie chicken -, but no one gives attitude like Logan.

More than a few of the top moments on this list are instances of Wolverine showing disdain towards his enemies, his allies – anyone really who poses an annoyance. Hell, in X2 he almost stabs a cat just for startling him. But few people annoy Wolverine as much as team mate Scott Summers AKA Cyclops, and this is a more than reasonable response for him.

Besides, who knew Logan had that much manual dexterity?

There are few things in this world that are both disturbing and as oddly satisfying as watching someone injure themselves in order to survive greater pain. Of course, many of us would not go as far as Logan and full on impale ourselves on adamantium, but you get the general gist. The question, of course, is whether the greater pain is would come from Sabertooth giving him a beat down while he’s nice and pinned down or watching helplessly as Rogue is used to power the mutation device.

What really seals this scene is Sabertooth’s snarl when he knows Logan is still alive and relatively well, it was just a really nice touch.
