Let’s get one thing straight: this article was difficult to write. As Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is still taking the world by storm with its recent Golden Globe win, it’s almost impossible to come up with six of the best moments this film has. From start to finish, this film is riveting. We’ve raved about it here before and we’re going to do it again as we try to pick the best of the best moments of Into the Spider-Verse.
6. The Death of Peter Parker
After seeing Spider-Man get re-imagined four times now, it was such a refreshing relief to learn this film would focus on Miles Morales. However, when the moment came for his Peter Parker to die, it was surprisingly sad and unsettling. After watching Peter Parker for years on end, seeing him get killed was shocking even if most of the audience knew this was coming. It was one of the early moments in the film that sent the message that this would be a very different Spider-Man film.
5. Doc Octavius’ Reveal
This moment really hinders on the audience going in blind with very little information on Miles Morales’ world. But the payoff is well worth it. Ignorance is truly bliss as an unexpected character reveals themselves to be none other than Doctor Octavius. As the movie goes on, this villain just gets better and better to watch.
4. Meeting the Other Spider-People
Miles Morales’ coming into contact with other Spider-People brings out some of the best comedy of the movie. Their interactions when they are first introduced is bizarrely entertaining. What makes it even more fun is how different each of these characters are.
3. The End Credits Scene
It was the scene that literally had people rolling over laughing by the end of it. If the number one spot is the epitome of what makes this movie great, this final scene is the epitome of what makes this movie hilarious. Even those who fully didn’t understand the context of the joke couldn’t help but to laugh. And, for those who are well aware of the meme and character featured got an extra kick.
2. The Stan Lee Cameo
While we know he has more cameos to come, the perfect send-off to beloved Stan Lee will undoubtedly be his cameo in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Bringing audiences to tears, his words to Miles Morales will resonate with people for years to come. It’s one of those moments where you know Stan Lee isn’t speaking to just Miles, but you as well. Wise words given from a wise man. Here’s to you Stan Lee.

Really, the picture says it all. This scene is the epitome of everything that makes this film great. The visuals are great, the music is great. It’s the scene the brings a rush through you and then takes your breath away. When people remember this movie, they will be thinking of the leap of faith first and foremost.
