Top 6 Superhero Teams and Team-Ups We’d Love To See On Screen

3. Spider-Man & Daredevil

DD11_1

The Marvel Universe’s verison of New York is home to a whole host of heroes: both the Avengers and the Fantastic Four have their main bases their, not to mention the number of big and small name heroes covering the five boroughs. And, as it always is in comics, these heroes do seem to constantly run into each other. My favourite of these erstwhile Big Apple team-ups has always been Spider-Man and Daredevil. I remember a particularly funny meeting where the two fight Mysterio, where they use a combination of Spider-Man’s spider sense and Daredevil not being able to see holograms (duh) to maneuver one of the villains traps.

With the heroes’ similar power sets, I think pitting the two of them together would make for some really great visuals, not to mention the great banter the pair has always enjoyed. I think setting them up against the Kingpin with some minions to fight along the way would be a great way to get the pair together. Too bad they’re owned by different studios…

2. Inhumans

Inhumans

Next to the Justice League, this is the only team other team on this list that has been rumoured to be getting a film in the near future. As Wikipedia is quick to remind us, it is specifically the Inhuman Royal Family that I’m talking about here, as “Inhumans” actually refers to a whole race of not-quite mutants in the Marvel Universe. Lead by the taciturn Black Bolt, the family also includes his wife, Medusa, their daughter Crystal, and cousins Karnak, Gorgon, and Triton, with Bolt’s Loki-esque brother Maximus rounding out the cast. The group has had many varied adventures, several involving the Fantastic Four, and with a many different powers between them, the Inhumans have enough power to rival even the Avengers, both in box office potential and an all-out brawl. The Black Bolt / Maximus relationship could also give Marvel Studios a chance to recreate the success they’ve had with Thor and Loki. Sparks will fly indeed.

1. X-Women

X-Women

As much as I love the X-Men films (and comics and TV shows), it feels like the male characters dominate the spotlight way too much, and with this year’s new all-female X-Men line up in Marvel Now (a roster made up of Storm, Rogue, Jubilee, Shadowcat, Rachel Grey, and Psylocke), I feel like we finally have some source material to point to. Personally, I would add Phoenix Siryn, Emma Frost, Mystique, and Boom Boom to the team, or possibly have the last three team up as the villains. These are great characters with some kick-ass powers, and I for one think they deserve a chance to shine. Either way, I think that the X-Men universe, a series that has always lead the way in diversity, would make for an excellent home for the first all-female superhero team film.
