2. 1992 X-Men Series
At last a period piece. Well, sort of. The episode titled Old Soldiers shows Wolverine having a flashback to when he and Cap fought the Red Skull during World War Two. As very few non X-Men related characters appeared in this series Cap was a welcome addition.
1. Ultimate Avengers Movies
Seeing as Marvel are the largest comic book publisher in the world, it’s kind of weird that we didn’t get an animated Marvel film until 2006. Before the live action Avengers movie, the animated equivalent and its sequel also featured them trying to foil an invasion by the Chitauri, who by the way have the ability to shape shift. Someone tell Joss Whedon that. In both films he fittingly appears to be the leader of the team, and the films were notable for exploring his tender side, after all, the second films ends with him kissing Black Widow. Hawkeye had better watch out.
Do you think Captain America has been well represented in his animated appearances?
