AP2HYC TV Awards 2017 – Best Costume

Summer is officially here, which means the primary television season has come to a close. The season brought with it the return of beloved superheroes, a heckuvalot of robots, and enough villains to make our heads spin. To celebrate another year of awesome, nerdy, super television, AP2HYC is hosting our third annual TV Awards! After months spent reviewing and recapping your (and our!) favorite shows, the AP2HYC writers have selected the best of the best to compete for victory in the 2017 TV Awards. Be sure to cast your votes in each category, and check back to find out which of your favorite shows, characters, and crews will come out on top!

No hero or villain is complete without a standout costume, and these new additions caught our eye this season…

Savitar – The Flash

This villain’s look is reminiscent of a Transformer crossed with the Iron Throne, with a touch of Tron neon blue thrown in for good measure.

The Man in Black – Westworld

Ed Harris‘ sinister gunslinger was dressed to kill. A classic Old West aesthetic made this villain instantly iconic.

Killer Frost – The Flash

Caitlin Snow’s Earth Two doppelganger rocked the leather and snakeskin, and the white blonde hair and piercing pale eyes made her one distinctive ice queen!

Superman – Supergirl

Supergirl -- "The Last Children of Krypton"

Tyler Hoechlin‘s iteration of Superman kept it classic to offset his matinee idol looks, and closely mirrored the costume worn by Henry Cavill‘s big screen counterpart.

The Legends of Tomorrow – Legends of Tomorrow

An embarrassment of riches on offer in this show as the large cast of heroes and villains don slick duds from various periods in their timelines.

Kid Flash – The Flash

Sidekick Wally West, AKA Kid Flash, nicely accents The Flash’s costume in this mustard and oxblood get up.

Ghost Rider – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Robbie

Pulled straight from the comics, Robbie Reyes’ signature leather horseshoe jacket is the perfect accessory for a flaming skull.
