Top 6 Moments From the Captain America: Civil War Trailer

3. Heroes Fallen

Heroes-Fallen

In this scene from the trailer, close friend to Iron Man, James Rhodes aka War Machine, played again by Don Cheadle is seen lying down severely injured in the arms of Iron Man. What or who caused so much damage? It’s also here that we see that the heroes won’t be holding back against each other. This isn’t just a dispute; it’s an actual war, and in war, there are casualties.

2. Iron Man Beatdown/”I Thought We Were Friends”

Beat-Down

In one of the coolest scenes from the trailer, Captain America and Bucky have teamed up to give Iron Man what looks like one hell of a beat down. Leading to the fight is another emotionally driven scene where Captain America clearly states he has to do whatever it takes to stick up for the wanted Bucky. In the scene he states, “I’m sorry Tony, I wouldn’t do this if I had any other choice. But he’s my friend” (referring to Bucky) to which Iron Man replies “So was I”.

1. First Look At Black Panther

Black-Panther

Our number-1 best moment from the trailer has to be the first glimpse of Black Panther! Played by Chadwick Boseman, the character looks to be kicking major ass as he is seen dropkicking the Winter Soldier to the floor. The hero appears briefly in a “blink or you’ll miss it” scene, but it was enough to get us excited. We finally get to see the Black Panther on the big screen. There was speculation that the character was more neutral in which side he was on, but judging from the trailer, he isn’t a fan of the Winter Soldier. There is also a shot of a chase scene between him and Captain America. I think it’s safe to assume that’s aligned with Team Iron Man.

There is a surprising amount of action shown in the first trailer for the film. Judging from the trailer though, the film looks to be a step up from the slightly disappointing Avengers: Age of Ultron. There are still a few questions, though. When will we get our first glimpse at Tom Holland’s Spider-man? Where is Ant-Man? Will we discover what happened to Thor and Hulk?

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America: Civil War is due to hit theatres in May 2016. We fully expect it to be one of the biggest and most fun films of the year.
